We collect information that is necessary to operate Kikuyo, including:

• Account and authentication information provided through Firebase and supported sign-in providers, such as your name, email address, Firebase user ID, and profile image if available
• Content and files you submit through the service, including feedback posts, comments, votes, project details, organization information, and uploaded assets such as logos
• Billing and subscription information related to your organization's plan, such as subscription status, billing cycle, invoices, and limited payment metadata provided by Stripe
• Usage, device, and interaction data collected through PostHog and similar technologies for analytics, performance, and product improvement
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, log data, and session identifiers
• Error reports, diagnostics data, and related technical information used for debugging and service reliability

Stripe handles payment processing. We do not store full payment card numbers in Kikuyo.

We use information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Kikuyo
• Authenticate users and manage accounts and organizations
• Process subscriptions, billing, and payments
• Analyze product usage, performance, and reliability
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, product updates, and support
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal data.

Kikuyo includes public feedback boards. If you post feedback or comments on a public board, that content may be publicly visible.

• Feedback posts, comments, and votes submitted to public boards may be visible to other users and site visitors
• Information associated with your account, such as your name or email address, may be shown alongside your public activity if that is how your profile is available in the service
• Organization administrators may be able to view and manage content submitted to their boards

Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information to public boards unless you are comfortable making it visible to others.

We use third-party service providers to operate parts of Kikuyo, including:

• Firebase and auth providers: authentication and sign-in
• Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing
• PostHog: product analytics and usage measurement
• Sentry: error monitoring, diagnostics, and service reliability
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: app hosting and storage

These processors may handle personal information under their own terms and privacy policies while acting on our behalf or providing services directly to you.

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in and maintain your session
• Remember preferences and basic application state
• Measure product usage and understand how Kikuyo is used
• Monitor reliability, performance, and abuse

PostHog may use identifiers, cookies, or browser storage to help us understand product usage.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With third-party processors that help us operate Kikuyo
• With organization administrators for boards and workspaces they manage
• With the public when you post on a public board
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business records, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information.
